Yes, your eMTB counts

eMTB rides count toward your fitness — because they should. You still pedal. You still get tired. You still build base. RideTool doesn't penalize you for the motor.

How to set it up

  • Add your eMTB in Account → Bikes and mark it as an electric mountain bike.
  • Assign it to a ride on the ride detail page by clicking the bike badge.
  • If you set it as your default bike, it'll auto-assign to new rides.

That's enough for RideTool to know what you were riding.

What you'll see

The same things you see for any ride — distance, time, elevation, heart rate, calories. If your bike has a power readout or your watch logs HR, that feeds the effort score.
